Make sure all electrical outlets are working properly. 

Clean your lint traps in your dryers regularly.  This will prevent lint back up and eliminates slow drying times.

Use liquid detergents for washing machines and dishwashers to prevent soap scum build up.

Run your hot water in your kitchen sink 2 minutes before powering up your dishwasher to shorten wash time (on most dishwashers).
